The VIVA Program of which VITICCIO is part confirms itself as one of the best standards for measuring sustainability in viticulture: in a study commissioned to Intertek by the “Nordic Alcohol Monopolies”, VIVA obtained a score of 12/12, like some other well-known Californian and Chilean initiatives, and in front of many other national and international realities
The 2023 study, which counted the participation of 43 international schemes, was structured in two parts: the first part involved the evaluation of 7 new schemes, at the request of Nordic Alcohol Monopolies; the second part instead concerned all the schemes that had already taken part in previous studies and which have recently updated their standards. These schemes/programmes were then subjected to a new evaluation; among these, VIVA, which recently updated its “Territory” indicator.
An important result for VIVA and all the companies that are part of it like us who, over the years, with a view to economic sustainability, have always underlined the importance of greater internationalization of the program. The objective was achieved with demanding and constant work, which has allowed the VIVA program to confirm itself as one of the most solid and complete programs on the international scene.
