On January 6th, Greve in Chianti awoke to a blanket of snow, a relatively rare event that also covered the vineyards of Viticcio. Snow-dusted rows offered a quiet, striking image of Chianti Classico, suspended in an almost timeless atmosphere.
Beyond its visual beauty, snow can be beneficial for the vineyard: it protects the soil from harsher frost, helps replenish water reserves, and supports a natural cleansing of the vines.
At Viticcio, winter left a meaningful mark, once again highlighting how closely climate and nature are woven into the identity of the land.
